The Intel Core i5-12400 is listed from 195 euros in the price comparison at the time of our test (3 February). The F version without integrated graphics unit is slightly cheaper with listings from 183 euros. This is a good deal cheaper than the Ryzen 5 5600X, which retailers list from 266 euros...
We cannot reproach the Core i5-12400 much, because the price and efficiency match the performance. At most, one can ask why Intel took so long to have a competitor product to the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X up its sleeve. The Zen 3 processor was already launched in November 2020 and is still better than a Core i5-12400 in every respect, even if only minimally...
