With the iFixit Magnetizer / Demagnetizer, you can easily magnetize or demagnetize screwdrivers in no time. To magnetize, simply insert the tip of the screwdriver into the positively charged section, which uses the remaining remanence to hold screws to the screwdriver. This makes it easier to turn screws into a thread or to pull out screws that have fallen into the casing. To negatively charge the screwdriver, it must be inserted into the negative pole on the top of the magnet.
