Product details

No storage enclosure is complete without reliable drive connections and adequate protection for the drives. Many enterprise applications rely on the data needed to maintain operations, and any downtime or data loss can have devastating consequences. The ToughArmor MB998IP-B features a robust metal housing with removable trays and effective, modern cooling for maximum stability, speed, and reliability. As an especially compact storage solution, it can accommodate up to 8x 2.5” SAS/SATA hot-swappable drives with a height of 5mm - 7mm in just one 5.25” drive bay. The two rear MiniSAS HD (SFF-8643) connectors of the backplane module make connecting to modern RAID cards particularly easy, while simultaneously reducing the number of required cables and providing higher bandwidth than SATA connections. The two adjustable 40mm fans and the metal housing ensure optimal cooling performance.
