The ICY Dock ToughArmor MB606SPO-B is a robust mobile rack system designed for industrial and commercial applications that require reliable data storage solutions. This high-density enclosure accommodates six 2.5-inch SATA or SAS SSDs and HDDs up to 7 mm in height, as well as an ultra-compact 9.5 mm CD/DVD/Blu-ray optical drive reader in a single 5.25-inch external drive bay. Made entirely from industrial-grade metal materials for the housing and drawers, it ensures durability in demanding environments such as military systems, medical devices, onboard computers for aviation and shipping, vehicle systems, servers, and industrial workstations. The advanced hot-swappable drive drawers provide vibration protection to secure storage devices under harsh conditions and feature integrated individual status LEDs for immediate monitoring of drive activity. Thermal management is optimized by a user-configurable 40 mm cooling fan with multiple speed settings and extensive ventilation openings on the housing and drawers, allowing customizable cooling for various drive types from high-performance mechanical HDDs to cooler SSDs. The optical drive mount includes clearly labeled screw holes and a spring-loaded eject mechanism for secure, tool-free installation and removal of optical drives. Additional features include SATA data and power cables with locking latch design to prevent accidental disconnection during operation and a protective dust cover for the optical bay when not in use.
