The MB662US-2S is a RAID hard drive enclosure with two bays that can accommodate two 3.5" (8.9 cm) SATA hard drives in various RAID configurations. With the integrated RAID controller, you can utilize both USB and eSATA interfaces in six different configurations. Notably, the configurations include RAID 0 (for faster data transfer), RAID 1 (for data loss recovery), BIG (for maximum storage capacity), and JBOD (for operating two separate hard drives). The enclosure also supports additional configurations SAFE 33 and SAFE 50, which provide a healthy compromise between data security and maximum storage capacity. Hardware switches on the back of the enclosure allow the drives to be switched to different RAID configurations without the need for RAID controller cards or additional software. This makes it possible to implement RAID configurations even without extensive RAID experience. Other practical features include fan speed control, tool-free hard drive installation, and special accessories. It is the perfect device for commercial and private video and photo editing, where both speed and security are essential.
