The IB-525-U3 is an external enclosure for 5.25" SATA drives or hard drive exchange frames. Whether you want to use a DVD, Blu-ray, or an old CD drive, these devices will find a new home in this simple black aluminum case. Internal hard drive exchange frames can also be used externally now. With USB 3.2 Gen 1, a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gbit/s is available, which can be connected to the host computer via a USB Type-C or Type-A connection.

For standard DVD or Blu-ray drives  
Do you still have a drive left over from an old desktop PC? Or a standard DVD or Blu-ray drive? That's great because you can now easily use them externally by inserting the drive into the IB-525-U3. The ICY BOX enclosure is suitable for all 5.25" SATA drives.

Flexible use  
Not only standard DVD or Blu-ray drives can now be used externally with the IB-525-U3, but the functional enclosure can also accommodate exchange frames in the 5.25" format. This way, some hardware can be brought back to life.
