Lacquer removal: Some of our utensils are lacquered to prevent oxidation or loss of shine during storage, particularly decorative products. For lacquered household utensils, it is essential to remove the lacquer before use. To do this, fill a large container with water and soak the piece from which you want to remove the lacquer. Add a soup spoon of sodium bicarbonate for every litre of water, bring it to a boil for 15 minutes, and you will see the lacquer come off. Wash the utensil with soap and water, dry the inside with a clean cloth, and if you want to maintain the external shine, use a polish. If any lacquer remains after cleaning, it can be removed with a cloth soaked in acetone. It is very important to remove all the lacquer before using the utensil, as it may darken due to the heat.
