The controller features eight external SAS lanes, allowing connections to SAS or SATA drives in an external drive enclosure. It supports mixed mode operation of RAID and HBA simultaneously and encrypts data at rest across all drives. The Smart Array P408e-p SR Gen10 Controller is excellent for optimizing performance.
