The HPE Ethernet BCM957416 adapters with 10 Gb and 2 ports utilize CAT 6A cabling with distances of up to 100 meters and are backward compatible with existing 1GBASE-T infrastructure. This allows for a fast and easy incremental upgrade of network speed without the need to change cables or extensively upgrade components. These adapters help detect and prevent cyberattacks and restore the system after an attack by protecting applications, data, and server infrastructures through the authentication of digitally signed firmware via a root-of-trust architecture. Additionally, they offer Secure Boot, device-level firewall, and other advanced security features.
