The HPE Aruba AP-POE-ATSR PoE Injector features a Gigabit Ethernet port that can deliver up to 30 watts of power. Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows compatible devices to be powered through the network cable. This reduces cabling requirements, especially for end devices such as wireless access points, IP phones, and IP cameras, while providing high flexibility in device placement. The IEEE 802.3at standard provides a maximum of 25.4 watts of power per PoE port with a voltage of up to 50 volts. The standard assumes that after line losses, 21.90 watts of usable power remain to avoid exceeding the maximum power output. For PoE, a Cat5e/6 cable with a maximum length of 100 m is recommended.
