The HP H221 Host Bus Adapter (HBA) is compatible with selected HP ProLiant Gen8 rack servers and tower servers, providing customers with the flexibility and speed they rightfully expect from HP. It features eight external SAS ports (two external 4-lane ports) that support HP SAS tape drives as well as SAS and SATA hard drives (6 Gbit/s) with second-generation capabilities. The H221 HBA is optimized for connection with the HP P2000 G3 SAS Modular Smart Array, the D2000 and D6000 disk enclosures, and MSA2040 SAS storage, offering cost-effective and reliable scalability for today’s data centers. The latest generation SAS ASIC with 6 Gbit/s delivers enhanced performance for shared storage.
