Homematic IP Wiegand interface HmIP-FWI

The Wiegand interface enables the integration of Wiegand-compatible devices into the Homematic IP Smart Home system, such as a code lock, a fingerprint sensor, or a card and transponder reader. The interface can be customized according to individual preferences via the Homematic IP app, allowing for the inclusion of Wiegand-compatible devices. This makes access to the smart home both secure and convenient. The Wiegand interface features eight virtual input channels that can be individually linked with Wiegand codes. A Wiegand code can control one or more virtual input channels and trigger actions. In combination with the respective Homematic IP devices, it is possible to control lighting, the garage door, or the alarm mode. In addition to the Wiegand inputs, the device has an input for connecting a doorbell button and another input for a sabotage contact. A switching output can be used to connect an LED or a doorbell. Due to its compact design, the Wiegand interface fits into all common flush-mounted boxes. For comfortable installation, flush-mounted boxes with a depth of more than 50 mm are recommended. The versatile wiring options allow for individual use with the following Wiegand-compatible devices: code lock, fingerprint sensor, card and transponder reader, doorbell, sabotage contact.
