The Homematic IP switching and measuring actuator for brand switches is part of the Homematic IP smart home system. With two independent channels, it can connect up to two lights, which can be turned on and off traditionally via a switch on the device, smartly via the free Homematic IP app, or conveniently through voice control (Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant). The upper touch surface controls channel 1, while the lower one operates the second channel. This allows the lights to be easily adapted to everyday life through individual control options, enabling them to be automatically turned on and off at any desired time or depending on sunrise and sunset.

Thanks to its compact design, the switching actuator fits comfortably into standard flush-mounted boxes with a depth of at least 50 millimeters. Existing switches can be replaced with just a few simple steps, provided that a neutral wire is present in the flush-mounted box alongside the phase. With the appropriate adapter, the actuator can be integrated into the most common designs of leading switch manufacturers, allowing for the reuse of desired frames and single switches.

The switching actuator is suitable for controlling many types of consumers, such as resistive loads, incandescent lamps, lamps with internal ballasts, high-voltage halogen lamps, low-voltage halogen lamps with electronic or iron core transformers, fluorescent lamps, electric radiators, and electric heating systems.
