The module connects to a compatible garage door drive via a plug connector and can be easily accommodated in the drive housing due to its compact size. The drive then provides power to the module, eliminating the need for additional cables. To set up using the free smartphone app and operate the device, the Homematic IP Access Point is required as the central element of the smart home system. Alternatively, the module can be operated with a CCU2/CCU3 central unit as well as through various partner solutions.
