The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat Basic is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and actively helps save energy. This smart controller replaces conventional radiator thermostats, achieving energy savings of up to 30%. The thermostat is mounted on the radiator without any intervention in the heating system and without tools. It is powered by two AA batteries, which can provide energy for about 2 years. The radiator thermostat is immediately ready for use thanks to a pre-set heating profile, which can be manually adjusted at any time if needed. Individual temperature profiles with up to 13 changes per day are possible. This way, Homematic IP heats specific rooms only when there is a real need. Setup can be done flexibly on the device itself, via the Homematic IP app, or through a browser-based interface in connection with a central unit. Alternatively, the smart thermostat can also be operated without a central unit: Stand-alone operation allows direct pairing with up to eight window and door contacts with magnets to automatically lower the room temperature when ventilating. Through the app, the radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive Smart Home system. The cloud solution allows for temperature adjustments at any time from anywhere. For those who prefer to keep data within their home network, setup through the central unit is available.
