Description CAN@net II/VCI

The CAN@net II enables easy and flexible access of a PC to CAN systems via Ethernet. With support for the TCP/IP protocol, the CAN@net II can be directly connected to a PC, integrated into a LAN, or communicate globally over the Internet with the gateway. With the included VCI CAN driver, the CAN@net II can be operated like all IXXAT CAN PC interface cards. This means that all VCI-based CAN programs and tools are compatible with the CAN@net II. The VCI CAN driver also allows communication with up to 128 CAN@net II interfaces simultaneously from a PC.

In addition to the CAN@net II/VCI, IXXAT also offers the CAN@net II/Generic variant, which can be accessed via a standard TCP/IP socket interface or used as a CAN-Ethernet-CAN bridge.
