What the small active system produces in terms of powerful bass is sure to amaze any listener. In such small enclosures, there is a very high pressure during operation, which would destroy standard membranes. For this reason, the MRX168A features a special oval-shaped aluminum membrane that can withstand even the highest pressures. The Class AB amplifier used is anything but small. With just over 100 watts RMS, it perfectly controls the built-in aluminum cone woofer with a 36 mm voice coil and strong drive. Thanks to the short-circuit-proof 10-pin connector, the active system can also be quickly and easily removed when needed.
