Shallow mounting depths of loudspeakers are becoming increasingly important for many applications, but often shallow speakers sound rather thin due to the limited travel in the bass range and represent a musical compromise. With the newly developed BRUTUS BRX series, HiFonics has brilliantly succeeded in changing this. Even the 2-way system BRX6.2C with 16.5 cm nominal dimension fits with a mounting depth of just 42 mm not only in almost any opening, it impresses in particular with a very good bass performance. This is primarily due to the completely newly developed Carbon Fiber membrane, which is extremely stable, yet very light - a must, especially for flat speakers. By means of a cable crossover, the 20 mm fabric neodymium tweeter is relieved of the low frequencies. Due to the compact design of the crossover, installation is also easy here.
