While many modern lead battery systems feature a standard plate construction, the Enersys Cyclon cells utilize wound grids as electrode carriers. This wound design achieves exceptional stability, allowing for the use of pure lead as grid material. This characteristic, along with the thin grids, distinguishes the Enersys pure lead batteries. Through further optimization of the electrochemical processes, the Cyclon cells possess the following special features: larger active surface area and thus lower internal resistance, higher energy discharge, better cycle stability, longer shelf life, extended service life, a wide operating temperature range, and excellent charge acceptance after deep discharge or storage. The cable and connector from the old battery are required to be transferred.
