Product details
Rear lens filter for various Canon EF lenses
A rear lens filter is a neutral density (ND) filter that is directly inserted into the lens mount. This offers two advantages: first, ND filters are relatively small and do not require much space; second, such ND filters are significantly cheaper than a filter holder system that is mounted in front of the lens. For ultra-wide-angle lenses with a prominent front element or a permanently attached lens hood, filters with a width of 150 mm are required, and such filter holder systems are expensive and bulky for transport. Therefore, rear lens filters are an excellent choice for long exposures in landscape or architectural photography.
The filters included in the set ND 0.9, ND 1.2, ND 1.8, and ND 3.0 reduce exposure by 3, 4, 6, and 10 stops, respectively. The filters are made from optical glass, ensuring clarity and color fidelity. To avoid internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface is coated with 10 layers of anti-reflective coating, which better protects the filter substrate and helps keep it clean for a longer period. The nanocoating of these neutral density filters provides an additional layer that enhances the water and oil repellency effect when their surfaces come into contact with liquids, allowing for more efficient cleaning.
A plastic case is included for storage and transport.
