The Paragon 48 M/L from Gregory is a minimalist backpack that focuses on durable outer fabric and thoughtful features while omitting unnecessary elements. What stands out is its innovative carrying system, allowing for free movement as the backpack seems to float and distributes the load evenly across the lower back. The hybrid suspension system combines a suspended design for the lower back with a breathable padding system for the upper back. This unique approach captures the best of both worlds – a super comfortable comfort cradle system for the lower back with patented FreeFloat hip belt technology, along with a snug-fitting upper 3D foam back panel. The back minimizes contact and conserves energy by keeping most of the pack weight close to the body. The lightweight aluminum frame, combined with a fiberglass cross strut, keeps the weight close to the back and is directly connected to the FreeFloat suspension. The top-loading lid includes material loops, while the backpack itself features a separate bottom compartment. Accessing the contents is also easy from the side thanks to a full-length side zipper. The rain cover is included in an extra zippered pocket, which can also be used for other purposes. You can quickly and securely store your sunglasses in the holder on the shoulder strap, and there are zippered pockets on the hip fins as well. Additionally, there are side mesh pockets, an oversized front mesh pocket, and an adjustable attachment loop for trekking poles or an ice axe.
