Cat. 8.1 patch cables are also suitable for 25 Gbit/s and 40 Gbit/s Base-T Ethernet networks, eliminating the need to bundle multiple 10 Gbit/s Base-T links into a single logical connection. This reduces the number of ports required, saving valuable space in data centers. The maximum bandwidth has also increased to 2000 MHz / 2 GHz.
