Fan Coil Actuator for KNX - The Fan Coil Actuator controls fan coil units used for climate control in rooms. The actuator receives telegrams, for example from a room temperature controller, and translates the control telegrams into equivalent fan speeds and valve positions. It allows for the connection of a fan coil unit with up to six fan speeds or the connection of two fan coil units, each with up to two fan speeds in 2-pipe systems. Manual operation is possible. During construction operation, the outputs can be manually operated without bus voltage, only with the operating voltage. There are operating modes for heating or cooling, or a combined heating and cooling mode. The actuator supports 2-pipe or 4-pipe operation. The 2-pipe system heats or cools through a common water circuit, while the 4-pipe system consists of separate supply and return lines for heating and cooling systems. Individual or hierarchical switching of fan speeds is possible. The actuator provides feedback, output indication, lock function for each channel, and step limitation. The behavior during bus voltage failure or bus/power failure, as well as after an ETS programming process, is configurable. Limit values are adjustable. Cyclic or event-driven sending is possible. Free channels can be used for switching functions, such as room lighting. The actuator has VDE approval according to EN 60669-1, EN 60669-2-1 and is mounted on a DIN rail. Connection and branching terminals for KNX are included in the delivery.
