Gigabyte B450M Gaming
AM4, AMD B450, mATXProduct details
The B450 chipset is the heart of the Gigabyte B450M motherboard and has been specifically optimized for the Ryzen CPUs of the 2000 series (Pinnacle Ridge). B450 motherboards support all features of the second-generation Ryzen processors, such as the new overclocking feature XFR2. Additionally, the motherboards support up to 64 GB of RAM with a guaranteed clock rate of 2,667 megahertz. Depending on the motherboard, significantly higher clock rates are possible through overclocking, and the B450 chipset also enables CPU overclocking.
The Gigabyte B450M Micro-ATX motherboard features a PCI Express 3.0 slot with full x16 bandwidth for graphics cards. For additional expansion cards, the motherboard provides two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots. The four RAM slots support up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory with a clock rate of up to 2,667 megahertz and can even handle clock rates of up to 3,466 MHz through overclocking.
An M.2 slot with PCIe connectivity is provided by the AM4 motherboard. M.2 SSDs with the advanced NVM Express protocol (NVMe) and a connection via four PCI Express 3.0 lanes are up to eight times faster than SATA 6G hard drives and support data transfer rates of up to 32 Gbit/s. The slot accommodates M.2 cards up to 80 mm (2280).
The Gigabyte B450M offers four USB 3.0 Type A ports on the I/O panel. Additionally, there are two USB 2.0 ports. For CPUs with integrated graphics, such as AMD's Raven Ridge, there are HDMI, DVI-D, and D-Sub ports available. In total, three fans can be directly connected to the board.
