Product details

Neutral Density (ND) filters are essential filters for digital photography and videography.

Features:

  • Reduction of light by 10 stops
  • Achieving desired effects
  • Firecrest ND technology
  • Stackable SuperSlim frame

Firecrest ND is a revolutionary new type of ND filter from Formatt-Hitech. Instead of using colored resin, Firecrest employs a rare earth metal to create ultra-neutral ND filters. These circular ND filters are made from Schott Superwhite glass and are housed in stackable 5.5 mm SuperSlim rings. The Firecrest ND filters are water-repellent, anti-reflective, and extremely flare-resistant. This enhances contrast and visual sharpness in challenging lighting situations. ND filters reduce the amount of light and allow for effects such as softened waterfalls and streams, flat water effects from the sea or lakes, streaky clouds, and motion blur in sports photography. They are also used for long exposures to make people disappear in public spaces, for example.
