Foam filter like Miele 9499230, 7686791 (220x130x30mm) - Base filter on the heat exchanger of Miele dryers

Size:

approx. 220mm x 130mm height approx. 30mm. Miele uses different versions of the base filter under this number. The small hole recess is partially not completely punched out, but easy to remove. There are 2 large holes (approx. 26mm diameter) and a smaller hole at the top on the side (approx. 5mm diameter), as well as a cut-out on the side to mount it in the holder in front of the heat exchanger.

Function:

This foam filter is located on the condensation module of tumble dryers, heat pump dryers and washer extractors to filter lint so that it does not clog the heat exchanger. This ensures a longer service life for the tumble dryer.

Replacement:

The sponge filter can generally be cleaned under running water. However, if the foam filter is torn, it must be replaced immediately to prevent fluff from entering the dryer's heat exchanger.

Open the flap in front of the heat exchanger (at the bottom of the plinth - often a recess in the flap to push up) - this will pop open. Pull out the base filter by the handle. Pull the foam filter off the handle - this allows you to clean or replace the filter.
