G-1000 Original is a durable and versatile material from Fjällräven. The dense fabric is water-repellent and very robust, yet extremely breathable and quick-drying. G-1000 is made from a blend of polyester and cotton, which is waxed with a thin layer of Greenland wax. The wax provides the material with additional protection against dirt, water, and moisture and can be easily reapplied or washed out as needed. In addition to water and moisture, G-1000 also protects against harmful sun rays and annoying insect bites. Fluorocarbon-free, it is good to know that fluorocarbon is harmful to living beings and the environment.
