Made from durable and adaptable material by Fjällräven, the dense fabric is wind and water resistant, yet extremely breathable and quick drying. G-1000 is composed of a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, waxed with a thin layer of Greenland Wax. This wax provides extra protection against dirt, wind, and moisture, and can be applied thicker or washed out as needed. G-1000 also protects against harmful sun rays and insect bites.

Fluorocarbon-free: It is important to note that fluorocarbon is harmful to living creatures and the environment. Most of Fjällräven's waterproof and downproof products are 100% fluorocarbon-free, using Bionic Finish Eco as an alternative impregnation. To maintain waterproofing performance, Fjällräven recommends regularly spraying the products with fluorocarbon-free impregnation spray.
