New and sensational. This fire extinguishing granulate is the perfect solution for the safe storage and extinguishing of lithium polymer batteries in case of fire. The cushion solution is ideal for transporting or charging LiPo batteries. When charging via the battery holder, you already have effective and good fire protection. When shipping LiPo batteries, simply wrap the battery cleanly, and you won’t have to worry anymore.

With Extron fire extinguishing granulate, you are perfectly equipped for all lithium fires in your workshop. Should a battery ignite, you can quickly, safely, and above all, cleanly extinguish it with the granulate.

The granulate is applied softly to the fire. The expanded glass granulate envelops the fire and smothers it. At particularly high temperatures, the expanded glass melts and spreads over the surface of the burning metal. This melting creates an airtight seal that crusts over as it cools, extinguishing the metal fire. Re-ignition is effectively prevented.

Extinguishing agents are designed to extinguish burning materials, taking into account their fire class and environment. They are used by fire departments or in automatic fire extinguishing systems. For self-help, they are also kept in mobile units.

Our fire extinguishing granulate is suitable for fire loads of classes D and lithium-ion. Problematic fire loads such as metal fires, battery fires, lithium fires, or flammable liquids can be controlled and extinguished with the granulate without causing extinguishing agent damage.

The extinguishing effect of the granulate on metal fires has been tested and confirmed by MPA Dresden based on sodium and magnesium fires.
