Product details

The EX-3466-2 1-to-4 expansion switch is designed to connect up to 4 SATA 3 and 2 hard drives simultaneously to a SATA 3 port on the motherboard. Depending on your needs, you can work with one to four hard drives at the same time. The four push buttons allow the SATA 3 and 2 hard drives to be individually disconnected from the data lines and power connections or switched on. This is ideal for booting multiple operating systems from a single computer system. The EX-3466-2 is equipped with a key to prevent unauthorized access to your hard drives, thereby preventing the PC from being started by unauthorized users.

Switching the hard drives while the computer is running only works with motherboards that have "Hot Plug and Play" chips installed, such as the Silicon Image 3132. Our EX-3517 controller works perfectly with the switch.

Expansion switch from 1 upstream to 4 downstream SATA 3 and 2 ports. Supports hard drives up to 6TB. 3.5" or 5.25" front bay slot for installation in your computer system. Built-in high-speed SATA 2 signal expander. Stores the setting of the bootable hard drive in the built-in EEPROM. Key for unauthorized access to the hard drives. LED indicator for the active hard drives. Complete cable set for 4 SATA 3 hard drives is included.

Package includes: EX-3466-2, 4x SATA cable set, 5 1/4" frame, manual.
