The EX-44044-2 PCI-Express I/O card provides four serial RS-232 high performance UART 16C550 outputs. It is designed to expand a PC, workstation, or server with four additional serial ports via the PCI Express bus. The card is fully PCI-Express Plug-and-Play compatible and does not conflict with IRQ and I/O addresses. Additionally, +5V or +12V can be configured on pin 9 of the serial connector for a POS system (Power over System). The EX-44044-2 comes with a low profile bracket for slim computer cases up to 8 cm in height.
