The EX-11494-2 USB 3.0 Quad PCI-Express (x4 Slot) card provides four external Super-Speed USB 3.0 ports. Each port features its own Renesas single chip, enabling full data transfer rates of up to 5 gigabits per second. It is designed to connect four additional USB 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0 devices to your workstation, desktop, or server. It supports USB 1.1 Low-Speed (1.5 Mbps), Full-Speed (12 Mbps), USB 2.0 High-Speed (480 Mbps), and USB 3.0 Super-Speed (5 Gbps). This technology is perfect for external storage enclosures, digital cameras, webcams, scanners, and more. To support the 900 mA power requirement at the external USB 3.0 ports, a power connection from the PC power supply is necessary.
