Every third car worldwide is equipped with a battery from the Exide Group. The Exide Corporation is one of the world's leading manufacturers of lead-acid batteries. The company was founded in 1888 in the United States by Thomas Edison. Exide Europe is currently represented in 16 European countries and has its headquarters in France, near Paris. In 1996, battery companies from the Nordic countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland joined the company.
