The EVGA Z270 Classified K is an E-ATX mainboard with Intel's Z270 chipset for the Intel processors of the 6th ("Skylake") and 7th ("Kaby Lake") generation for the LGA1151 socket. The 200 series "Union
Point" chipsets have a maximum of 24 PCIe Express 3.0 lanes and generally have more HSIO (High Speed I/O) lanes, which allows more internal connections (such as SATA or PCIe slots) to be used simultaneously. As a Z270 mainboard, the EVGA Z270 Classified K enables overclocking of K-series CPUs that have a freely selectable multiplier.
