The Eversolo DMP-A8 streamer is a well-thought-out, high-quality solution for audio enthusiasts. The device is exceptionally user-friendly, making the search, streaming, storing, ripping, and listening to music a lot of fun with the Eversolo streamer. Operation is done via the large, user-friendly 6-inch color touchscreen on the DMP-A8, the included remote control, or through a smartphone/tablet with the installed Eversolo Control app. The Android-based operating system of the DMP-A8 has been optimized by Eversolo for playful ease of use. Two WiFi antennas ensure a wide range of wireless signal. For a wired internet connection, there is a LAN port available. This allows for comfortable use of many services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, or Apple Music. With 64 GB of internal storage, the DMP-A8 also offers plenty of space to store a large amount of music locally on the device. An SSD slot allows for optional flexible storage expansion. If you own CDs and want to store them on the DMP-A8, simply connect an external CD drive to the DMP-A8. The DMP-A8 will rip the albums for you and automatically add album names and song titles. A Bluetooth receiver is also integrated, allowing you to stream music from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to the DMP-A8. Two AKM DAC chips handle the digital-to-analog conversion, providing an authentic, captivating sound. A wide range of connections, including XLR, RCA, coaxial, optical, USB, and HDMI, enables connection to various devices such as headphone amplifiers, DACs, active speakers, computers, televisions, or projectors. It's hard to believe what the Eversolo DMP-A8 delivers in terms of sound and features. For a device that can take even very well-equipped hi-fi systems even further, the price is almost miraculously favourable. Super!
Like its smaller brother, the DMP-A8 impresses with its excellent features and operation in the streaming area. Eversolo has dispensed with the control of headphones, but otherwise nothing stands in the way of its use as a very high-quality preamplifier. Of course, the sound improvement over the A6 is particularly noteworthy, catapulting the A8 into much higher spheres than would be expected for 2000 euros.
