The Homematic IP switchboard allows for the integration of ordinary electrical devices into the Homematic IP smart home system. For retrofitting, the tiny board simply needs to be placed in a suitable location within the device housing and connected, for example, to the existing button or signal input. A miniature relay enables switching capacities of up to 30 V/1 A. If the relay is not needed, it can easily be removed from the board, further reducing its size. Instead, the open-collector switching output can be used with 30 V/0.5 A. Once installed, conventional household appliances, lighting installations, custom microcontroller applications, or even garage door operators can be conveniently controlled via the Homematic IP app, remote control, or wall switch.
