The EPA series is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) adapter with a connection for use with Gigabit systems. This ideal solution can help installers overcome the limitation in network planning related to the availability of a power source. The EnGenius PoE adapter allows for the transmission of data and power to an 802.3at/af-compatible access point or device over a single Ethernet cable, enabling deployment exactly where users need the best wireless coverage, and at significantly lower installation costs.
The EPA5006GAT PoE adapter is fully compliant with the 802.3at/af failover mechanism, featuring disconnection, short circuit, and overload protection to ensure a safe and reliable connection for 802.3at/af devices. With a maximum output power of 30 W, Ethernet end devices that require more power, such as high-performance wireless LAN devices, IP media centers, and webcams, can be powered remotely.
