Configuration via PC software DALI-Cockpit. DALI functions and command set: The DALI-RM8 allows loads to be connected to the DALI bus and subsequently switched on and off. The DALI-RM8 is a control device for non-dimmable loads based on the DALI specification IEC 62386-208 (Device Type 7). The switching characteristic is determined by comparing the virtual lamp power level (VDAP) with four switching thresholds. The virtual lamp power level (VDAP) corresponds to the dimming value of a DALI driver and is subject to the corresponding properties (limited by MINLEVEL and MAXLEVEL, dimming speed determined by Fadetime and Faderate). For each dimming direction, there are two switching thresholds used for comparison with the virtual lamp power level. Only the switching threshold valid for the current virtual dimming direction is evaluated. A threshold with the value MASK is inactive and is not used for comparison. Fading allows for on and off delays to be implemented. The DALI-RM8 is powered by the DALI bus.
