Product details

The Model:Samples from Elektron is a compact 6-track sample player with sequencer and breaks new ground in terms of design and concept. The new, flat housing together with the new display and the doubled set of encoders clearly sets it apart from previous Elektron instruments. 300 drum and synth sounds are installed ex works, but can be replaced and loaded internally by the user with 1GB of samples via USB. The sounds provided in the project can be organised in drum kits on six tracks and edited and processed directly with 15 controls. Parameters for the playback function, filter, LFO and effects conjure up new variations of the loaded material in no time at all.

Of course, the Elektron-typical sequencer is also on board again: six audio or MIDI tracks. Microtiming, swing, individual step lengths of 1-64 steps per track allow exciting patterns even beyond the 4/4 grid. Of course, you won't have to miss your favourite parameter locks here either! The Model:Samples is the first Elektron device to offer all relevant parameters directly on the surface, making it unnecessary to jump between menu pages. The compact, lightweight device fits almost anywhere and is ready for use after just a few seconds of loading. It is advisable to remember the MIDI adapter cable when moving. With the current OS 1.02 it is now also possible to assign an individual sample to each step (sample lock). You can see how this works in the video "Model:Samples Tutorial - Sample Locks" below.
