Expanded freeze effect in the smallest housing format! The Pico Deep Freeze Sound Retainer is a blend of the original Freeze and Superego pedals. With the ability to freeze a moment in sound, the Deep Freeze can serve as a sustain pedal to hold chords and notes, supporting your playing, or as a platform to manipulate your tone into new sounds that are impossible with a regular guitar. In addition to the capabilities of the original Freeze, the Deep Freeze offers layering, adjustable attack/decay speeds, glissando, special volume controls, and three modes: Latch, Moment, and Auto, making it a powerful pedal that goes far beyond its size. The Deep Freeze allows for instant sound freezing in three operating modes. The Latch mode freezes the sound every time the footswitch is pressed until the effect is bypassed, while the Moment mode only freezes the sound as long as the footswitch is held down. In Auto mode, the sound is automatically frozen as soon as a signal above the threshold is detected, so the footswitch hardly needs to be engaged. These three modes make it easy to operate the Deep Freeze to suit any playing style. With the controls on the Deep Freeze, you can further customize how the effect works. The separate dry and effect volume controls allow you to mix signals from subtle backing to 100% effect experiments. The Gliss knob regulates the morph time between the freeze sounds, creating surreal soundscapes. The Speed/Layer knob determines either the attack/decay time of the effect in Moment and Auto modes or the amount of possible layering in Latch mode, enabling the playing of impossible chords. - ultra-compact Pico housing.
