Electrical safety in electromobility

Electromobility is gaining momentum. According to a recent study by the German Academy of Engineering Sciences, 24 percent of the population already state that they would buy an electric car. The Association of the Automotive Industry expects a stock of ten to fourteen million electric vehicles by 2030. According to the VDA, more than one million public and private charging points will be needed. The practical guide "Electrical Safety in Electromobility" deals with the norm-compliant and practical establishment of charging facilities by qualified electrical professionals. These professionals receive comprehensive technical information on the requirements for grid connections, charging procedures, and types of charging operations, as well as the specific requirements for installation and operation. The final chapter of the book is dedicated to testing—particularly the initial inspection of charging facilities by qualified electrical professionals according to DIN VDE 0100-600.
