Elbro Air quality sensor and CO2 traffic light

CO2 meter for monitoring indoor air quality and timely ventilation. It features three switch outputs for controlling external signal lights (e.g., red, yellow, green). The device measures aerosol equivalents and provides an LED traffic light display as well as a deactivatable acoustic alarm signal. The ventilation recommendation starts at 1000 ppm (LED changes from green to yellow). Handling and installation are straightforward. The threshold from yellow to red is set at 2000 ppm. Every person continuously emits CO2 and aerosols while breathing. Aerosols are increasingly suspected of being carriers of SARS-CoV-2. CO2 concentrations in rooms can be determined, and based on the correlation between CO2 and aerosol concentrations, analytical considerations are made that allow for inferring a probable aerosol concentration from a measured CO2 concentration. Prolonged stays in small, poorly or non-ventilated rooms can increase the likelihood of Covid-19 transmission through aerosols even over distances greater than 2 meters. The use of CO2 sensors and the resulting ventilation help minimize the risk of infection, for example, in schools, offices, gyms, restaurants, or other spaces where multiple people gather.
