Delidding tool for your Intel Core processor. The EK-Quantum Velocity² IHS Removal Tool - LGA 1700 is a tool for removing the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). It allows you to remove the IHS from your CPU and directly cool the CPU die. This tool provides a safe, quick, and convenient way to delid your CPU.

Between the IHS and the CPU chiplets, there is a thermal interface material. However, even with high-quality thermal compounds and uniform solder, an additional layer is created, leading to reduced cooling performance.
