The Eastman E8D-TC is a steel-string acoustic guitar with traditional dreadnought body dimensions of 40.6 cm in width and 11.9 cm in depth, designed in the style of the golden pre-war era. This instrument features a solid Sitka spruce top, along with solid rosewood back and sides, providing an exceptional tonal balance with resonant bass frequencies and crystal-clear highs. The thermally treated process enhances the wood's resonance and dynamic range while creating an attractive antique appearance. The construction includes a three-piece mahogany neck with a traditional even C-profile, an ebony fingerboard with a 30.5 cm radius, and a bone nut with a width of 44.5 mm. The hand-carved, scalloped X-bracing pattern contributes to the guitar's superior acoustic projection and tonal complexity. The hardware includes open PingWell V93N 3+3 tuners in nickel finish, an ebony bridge with a bone saddle and a string spacing of 53.2 mm, as well as a tortoiseshell pickguard. The scale length is 64.5 cm with 20 Jescar-FW43080 frets and white side markers. The finish includes Truetone high gloss on the top, back, and sides, complemented by herringbone binding and snowflake mother-of-pearl inlays on the headstock. The guitar is equipped with D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze light gauge strings (0.30 mm to 1.35 mm) and comes with a protective hard shell case.
