Product details

"A Way Out" is a cooperative third-person adventure that revolves around two characters who meet in prison: Leo, who has been there for some time, and Vincent, who has just arrived. The two encounter each other and help each other out of various difficult situations before deciding to work together and even become friends to some extent. The game must be played by two users—either via split-screen in couch co-op mode or in online co-op mode. There is neither a single-player story nor the option to play alone with an AI companion. This is a deliberate design choice, as users will often find themselves in the same situations but experiencing them from different perspectives. Depending on the specific story mission or situation, users may also take on different roles or tasks. For example, one user might need to distract a guard while the other sneaks past to steal a specific item unnoticed. In other situations, both users will need to collaborate more closely to accomplish a task. They may need to help each other climb over an obstacle or break down a door that one alone might not be strong enough to open. The title features a split-screen and cooperative online story mode. Additionally, users have typical options for graphics, audio, and online settings.
