Custom Audio Electronics Boost/Line Driver

With the MC 401 Booster and the MC 402 Boost/Overdrive, MXR launches its new pedal series developed in collaboration with Bob Bradshaw, making his innovations accessible to a wider audience. Since 1980, Custom Audio Electronics, founded by sound designer Bob Bradshaw, has been creating remarkable effects devices in limited quantities, significantly shaping the sound of renowned artists.

Both effects units feature a boost function adjustable from +2 to +20 dB that does not alter the character of the input signal and responds sensitively to the guitar's volume pot. Lowering the volume adds more dynamics to the tone without thinning it out. The MC 402 additionally offers a simple dynamic overdrive with classic controls for Output (Volume), Tone, and Gain. Boost and overdrive can be used both separately and together.

The use of high-quality components ensures smooth operation and prevents unwanted interactions with other pedals in a signal chain.
