Dual CS 458

The use of different materials and manufacturing methods significantly enhances the performance of the turntables made in Germany from the Black Forest.

A new development, the Dual E(asy)motion Wire tonearm internal wiring, ensures a resistance-free trailing of the tonearm and a more brilliant sound image. The tonearm's bearing has also been completely redesigned. The torsion-resistant and detachable tonearm head is made of carbon fiber, compatible with cartridges that have a 1/2" (13 mm) mount.

The solid wood console made of MDF, combined with a floating sub-chassis (the tonearm, platter, and automatic functions are all suspended), absorbs all forms of vibration and impact noise. The completely redesigned console is part of the new development of the 458 and serves only one purpose: to elevate sound performance to significantly higher levels. The delivery includes an MM cartridge, the Audio Technica AT-91E.

For driving the platter, a DC motor with electronic speed control is used, which drives the vibration-damped aluminum platter via a polished flat belt. A completely new feature here is the electronic speed monitoring, and the speed stability has been further improved, allowing the sound image to benefit from even better balance.
