Residual current (rated differential current)2

Product details

RCBOs combine residual current and circuit breakers in one device (RCCB/MCCB combination). They protect people from residual currents and installations from short circuits and overloads. The DRCBO 4 has a rated breaking capacity of 6 kA. In addition to a tripped indicator, it also features a labeling window. Type A switches are sensitive to pulsating and alternating currents. This function is independent of the mains voltage. Switches with a characteristic C tripping curve are optimized for circuits with high inrush or peak currents. Standard switches are designed for circuits with a rated voltage of 230 V or 400 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz.

Features:

  • Pulsating and alternating current sensitive
  • Mains voltage independent tripping
  • Compact size for all rated currents
  • Switching position indicator
  • Separate indication of the tripping reason
  • Terminal clamps with a wide clamping cross-section range on both connection sides
  • Neutral conductor on the right
  • Labeling window
  • Mounting type: Quick fastening on mounting rail
  • Installation position arbitrary
  • Supply connection arbitrary

Applications: Protection of circuits in residential and commercial buildings as well as industrial plants with TN-S, TT, and TN-C-S networks. In IT networks, RCCB/MCCB switches can be used for disconnection in the event of a second earth fault. Use in installations with TN-C networks and for the protection of circuits where devices of power electronics can cause smooth DC fault currents or fault currents with frequencies other than 50/60 Hz is excluded.
