Product details
Residual current circuit breakers (RCCB) disconnect the power supply when dangerously high fault currents occur, thereby protecting people, animals, and equipment. DFS 4 are two- or four-pole residual current circuit breakers for single-phase or three-phase networks. In standard design, these compact devices are four division units wide. They are available with many different fault current types and designs with rated currents up to 125 A. The large double-decker terminals can accommodate large conductor cross-sections. The tripped position of the multifunction switch knob facilitates troubleshooting. The free labeling software assists with labeling. Type A switches are sensitive to pulsating and alternating currents. This function is independent of the mains voltage. Standard devices are designed for monitoring circuits with a rated voltage of 230, 400 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz.
Features: independent tripping from mains and auxiliary voltage, sensitive to alternating and pulsating direct fault currents (Type A), compact size for all rated currents, high short-circuit resistance, double-decker terminals on both sides for large conductor cross-section and rail connection, switching position indicator, viewing window for labeling stickers, multifunction switch knob with three positions: on, off, tripped, connection C1 neutral conductor position left, mounting type: quick fastening on mounting rail, installation position arbitrary, feed direction arbitrary.
Applications: Power supplies for residential and commercial buildings as well as industrial plants with TN-S, TT, and TN-C-S networks. In IT networks, residual current circuit breakers of this series can be used for disconnection in the event of a second fault. Use in TN-C networks and for the protection of systems where electronic devices can cause smooth direct fault currents or fault currents with frequencies other than 50 Hz is excluded. Comprehensive protection is not provided in these cases.
