The Freerider impresses with its well-thought-out winter features, such as the fully opening back panel. This not only provides an optimal view of the gear but also keeps the back system dry when the backpack is set down. If any snow does get onto the carrying system, the new robust, breathable, and snow-repellent material ensures a dry back. Safety is also a top priority with the Freerider. The separate and easily accessible safety compartment for the probe and shovel keeps the essentials ready at hand in case of an emergency. Additionally, the variable attachment system is new. With two separate straps, skis, snowboards, and snowshoes can be quickly secured to the outside of the backpack: skis can be attached diagonally or in an A-shape, while snowboards and snowshoes can be secured vertically. The flexible attachment straps also serve for side compression.
